Maintenance for Alliances Update Tomorrow new!

Tomorrow morning at approximately 4:30am EDT we will be bring the site down to put live the Alliances update; estimated downtime is 15 minutes.

The Alliances update will allow your guild to declare alliances with other guilds using MMO Guildsites. How it will work is, once you have declared an alliance with another guild, members from your site can login to theirs, and members from their site can login to yours. Alliance members can then post on your forums, signup to your events, shout on the shoutbox, private message your users and participate in your polls; similarly your members can perform those actions on their site. (all of these actions are optional and can be configured in the Permissions tab)

The goal with the update is to make it easier for guilds who are in Alliances in a game to communicate easier outside the game; guild leaders can then private message each other, members from all sites in the alliance can signup to events, members from all alliances can participate in forums, etc.

More details about this update will be posted to our blog shortly after it goes live tomorrow.

Well, I'll have to wait and see how they actually implement it, before I know which options we have.

But definately expect our allies wont be able to see anything our initiates can't. The we may even be able to add a new security role to make them see a bit less.
