The Asgards

Just a thread more focusing on which games we can think of to play, who's intrested, and if we got enough people for it!


Today I posted the idea on The Asgards page on Facebook to maybe get some people back.

Hope we get some people and a game that fits us!

So: I have been checking out GW2 and SWTOR some, looks cool, looks fun, but Im not convinced yet!

well im currently playing rift - pre-ordered swtor - even though i said i wouldnt and i'd just like to add e blor e rompa

I have no clue wich MMO I gonna buy, totally clueless

rift is very very formulated - dps healers - are without doubt the best class upto level 49
@50 very high prestige weapons (like level 50rr v 30rr) are available

but certain cleric builds having major advantages - extreme op (unless the attacker is a ranger)
but i have yet to find a single person that plays ANYWHERE near asgards players, all i get is moaning sob's saying ooo cleric healers unkillable god like shit XXXX

fact is rogue ranger can do it - all about timing - and skilling with a pvp soul for the healing debuff proc

rift is very very poished and well worth some hours learing personally i love it

Im currently not playing any game, except savage 2 in between workhours!

Summerjob u know, gotta make them moneey!

ANyway, savage 2 is really cool, and its free (u can choose to pay, to get access to more stuff). IN short terms, its a fps shooter, 3rd person rpg (darkfall style, no tab targetting, gotta aim urself when ur swinging that sword) and a strategy game (much alike age of empires/starcraft style).

PPl can volunteer to become the commander, and be the one that is planning everything, placing buildings and etc etc. ur kinda like "god"..

Then the rest are footsoldiers or beasts, and u go around mashing stuff up in 1 or 3 person..

Its really really fun, and all pvp. So id recommend u to try it out, if u want to=)


HOWEVER, ill be playing battlefield 3, gw2 and i havent considered swtor yet, havent even taken a look at it.. But who knows, if all the oldies decideds to go sci fi fetish on their asses, ill tag along =)

OOh, and i played Rift to..

Got two characters up to 50.. But got bored as fuck of the pvp.

As scott here said, no one has the quality of asgards players, there was no challenge in mashing up ppl, and just a pissload of whiners on both sides.

Pvp got very boring after a while. Farming the same warfronts (scenarios) and random ganking noobs in the open, got kinda boring and repetative for me..

Waiting for them to patch and introduce some sort of rvr before i subb again.. =)

KeA (Kill em' All) the order guild, is going to make a guild in GW2, and I was asked if maybe old Asgards wants to merge with them in there!

Thats just another option, it will be some nice people in there, maybe some of the "new" asgards guys had some argue with some of them, but thats droped, and we got the invite atleast, up to you guys, think about it!

PS: They are not that bad at all! Im in their guild in WAR atm, had epic times with them, but not like us ofc! Thats why I want a Asgards reunion first of all, but if we dont got enough people I might join them.

./agree with sore about pvp in rift - to a certain extent ./dramtic pause

personaly ORVR server was the way to go - with a high pop server like sagespire - and if u have played BOTH factions to 50 and learnt every single mission both sides

THERE is Never an issue findin a flashpoint - and also - in shimmersand theres quite often 2 to 3 full raid teams fully geared running about with nothing to do but grief and be greifed back

also new BGs were added yesterday or 2 days before drink has robbed me of a known timeline ..... i think theres 2 new modes and weekend battlegrounds with more powah n epics - did read the full release notes.

Clerics and mages that can heal -once tagged for pvp they get a debuff to healing - irony of healer being weaker when most needed.
And the moaning bitches win

Damn can't log into this site because for some random reason, I don't seem to have an account. Hope everyone is well, I managed to succeed in my A levels and am now at University studying for a Law degree. I still keep in touch with people via steam and Facebook if you have me on there. Playing random games to fill times of boredom, spend most my time studying or with my girlfriend though. Definitely think i will get Guild wars two, but only if it will run on my shitty laptop. Cannot afford to spend shed loads of money on gaming.

PS. didn't pay the ventrilo bill in time... So the server has been closed.
I can't even reopen it now, only order a new. So, I am gonna wait with that 'til we got a new mmorpg to actually use for it.
